“The Organic Carbon” derives its name from the organic carbon found in soil. It is the basis of sustainable agriculture. Like the hemoglobin of soil. Our approach of adopting farming systems that increase organic carbon is a win-win situation. In addition to mitigating climate change, this approach is more productive, more profitable and more sustainable.
We Started Small. On one hand was the lack of access to right information, while on the other was the lack of a replicable model for organic farming. This triggered in us a new thought process. It was a humble beginning with passion towards farming that attracted us to study the whole ecosystem and understand the pain areas. We are basically farmers. We know how it is, to be on an Indian farm- the challenges, weather, soil and all the related practices. Hands-on-experience to manage ground level activities at farm helped us to gain understanding of the risks and mitigation of those risks in a practical world. Small yet sure steps led to the discovery of stark realities. The fledgling team was confronted with the economics of scale, several naysayers and a nascent market. The going thus had its share of challenges.
Our role is to ensure that organic practices are done systematically and consistently. Over the years, we have perfected the micromanagement of all the relevant aspects. From the seed to your kitchen it is organic all the way.
The Organic Carbon is not just a venture to bring back the tradition of healthy eating through organic products but also a committed effort to undo the damage that chemical farming has done to our lands.
We have end to end control over production, which minimizes the supply chain risk providing better profitability and visibility. The effort is towards creating sustainable and economically balanced solutions for rural communities. The Organic Carbon keeps this philosophy in mind and works for a better tomorrow by bringing about a change, today.
We, at The Organic Carbon began with a unified, overarching purpose to change lives and do our bit for the country’s march towards a healthy future. We are passionate about organic foods. We want you and your family to have better, chemical and pesticide-free options. We want farmers to have a sustainable living. We want a better planet. We in fact, want you to live an organic life. Because, we know and our forefathers knew that pure food is a proven curative.
We hope our fascinating journey to understand the hidden dynamics of the natural world will inspire everyone to rethink the potential of the ground beneath their feet, as well as the nature around them, and to figure out how they can make a difference.
